This sterling silver trophy has a central raised medallion with the letters WSGA and is engraved as follows: WOMENS SOUTHERN GOLF ASSOCIATION EAST LAKE MAY 1937 CHAMPIONSHIP FIRST FLIGHT FINALIST It is marked sterling silver and is made by Wallce and is numbered 3674. There are two handles and a garland of leaves in relief around a band near the top rim. It is 4.75” across the top and 3.75” around the bottom and stands 10.5” high. The weight is 1 lb 2.9 oz. A really pretty trophy in excellent condition. I hope you can get an idea of the trophy from my photos. The piece looks tarnished in the photos but it is not. It polished up very nicely. This beautiful pair of Wallace Sterling Silver candelabras came from the estate of a prominent physician in the FingerLakes region of New York State. They measure 13 1/2" tall and are marked Sterling 4101... obviously they have not been polished and there are some dents. I tried to show them so please review the photographs. Nothing too distracting. This pair can be converted into single candlesticks if needed. The pattern is Grand Baroque...I believe this pair to be 70-80 years old.
eBay This is a stunning bright silverplate trophy cup vase, dated 1929 for a sailboat race. Presented by the Gull Lake Yacht Club in Richland, Michigan, this trophy has a beautiful Grecian urn vase design. Nice engraved presentation text on the front with a large central raised emblem featuring sailboats. The side arms are ornate miniaturized wings and there are also several decorative patterns throughout. Nice larger size, measures 12.5 inches high, 7 inches wide and 4.25 inches deep. Weighs approximately 2.5 pounds.Good condition with bright silverplate surface. There are a few dents to the body and top rim, some silverplate loss around engraved text. Overall, no major issues that detract from the presentation. Please review the photos for further assessment.A fantastic display item for a maritime themed room, would also make a great vase for floral arrangements. The bottom is stamped with the Wallace Hallmark, Sterling, 5530 and it retains the original Wallace Label and the cup weighs 120gm. Overall, it's in very nice condition.
Baroque By Wallace 281, silver Coffee Pot or Tea Pot. This is an antique silver plated 4 legged, footed coffee or tea pot. It is heavy with ornate details, hinged lid (hinge in great condition). This piece is beautiful, has been lightly cleaned but could use a good polish and will tarnish as it sits in storage while for sale. As it's aged there is general wear such as very light scratches. There are no dings or dents, there is 1 little spot where the silverplate appears to have flaked? But it is smooth and not flaky, see last pic. Bottom is marked "Baroque" by Wallace 281. Beautiful sterling silver spoon from Devils Lake North Dakota dating back to years around 1900 featuring handle in a very nice pattern. In the gold finished bowl it has most expertly hand engraved image of building, the writing is COURT HOUSE, DEVILS LAKE, N. DAK.
eBay For sale is a 14" silverplate cake stand in the Baroque by Wallace collection. It looks very nice but does have a few condition issues that could be cleaned up to make this stand really 'stand out!' The last 5 pictures show these issues from a closer perspective. I described them below in the order near center of the top of the stand (Other light scratches present on other small areas of top)White substance that flakes off when scratched in fringe around outside of top edge (Picture shows one spot as example; Substance present in most of fringe)Spots of darker tarnish and scratching on bottom (Picture shows example, see picture of entire underside to get a better idea)Blueish tarnish on one spot of underside (Only in this one spot of edge)Blueish tarnish around hole in center of the bottom of the standThe cake stand still displays very nicely, and someone with the patience and supplies could likely remove most of the tarnish on the bottom.
